Spring 2025 residency:

Sustainable tourism on the French Riviera

Forget it, I’m on holiday

We’re thrilled to share the official trailer for Vacances, j’oublie tout, a short documentary created entirely during our immersive 8-week residency in the South of France.

This unique residency brought together four talented filmmakers to explore the theme of sustainable tourism on the French Riviera. Guided by an onsite professional coach and supported by experts in the field, the team uncovered three powerful and interconnected sub-themes that shaped the film’s 13-minute narrative:

  • Toulon: The Ferry Dilemma

  • Between Sea and Sport: A Different Perspective

  • Plastic & Pollution: A Sea in Danger

Shot on location and developed collaboratively, Vacances, j’oublie tout offers a fresh and thoughtful lens on one of Europe’s most visited regions. Watch the trailer now and discover what sustainable travel means in today’s world.

Behind the scenes

The making-of film was created by two of the residents themselves, Marlène Rabinel and Sara Vuolle, who chose to adopt a raw, intimate approach. Their aim was to capture the private, behind-the-scenes moments that defined the residency — late-night conversations, shared meals, moments of doubt and laughter. Shot in a deliberately unpolished style, the film offers an honest and human look at the day-to-day life of the group and the emotional and creative dynamics that unfolded over the eight weeks. It's both an artistic reflection and a personal testimony of this unique collaborative experience.
